A young vicuna, Aymara, was born on December 1st 2019.

After 11 months of gestation, the female vicuna gives birth to a single young that weighs between 4 and 6 kg.
The young will stay with its mother for at least 8 months and can continue to drink its milk until its 10 months, before taking its independence.

The vicuna lives in the Andean highlands and it does not fear the cold, which is why it gave birth at this time of the year.
