They can be distinguished from other birds by their soft song resembling small muffled laughter, as well as their green and yellow livery, their red \u00abcrown\u00bb on the top of the skull and their 2 black feathers with red tips that stand above their head.<\/p>\n<p>The horned parakeet is native to New Caledonia. It is found mainly in tropical rainforests but can also be seen in savannahs.
