Launched in 2020 by the European Commission, the United World Coalition for Biodiversity invites conservation stakeholders to come together to raise public awareness of the need to protect biodiversity.
Resolutely committed to the protection of biodiversity and involved for many years in the conservation of endangered species, the Zoo des Sables welcomes this mobilization and joins the Coalition #Unispourlabiodiversity, alongside more than 150 institutions around the world. National parks, science and natural history museums, research centres and universities, botanical gardens, zoos, aquariums, join forces with organisations and associations involved in the protection of nature, to collectively alert decision-makers to the crucial urgency of implementing actions to protect biodiversity, in view of COP15 2021.
