Two crested ibis (Lophotibis cristata) arrived at the Zoo des Sables on March, 20th 2025. Come and discover the crested ibis, a black jewel of the island of Madagascar with violet reflections and elegant crest! Once on the edge of the abyss, this magnificent bird still struggles for its survival, so it is classified «vulnerable» by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.
